THE WILDEST FASTEST SHOW ON EARTH

Come one, come all for the 110th annual Snake River Stampede rodeo kicking off June 17-21, 2025 at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho.
What started in the early 1900’s as a small, local bucking horse competition, the Snake River Stampede has evolved into one of the top ten professional rodeos in the United States AND the biggest, wildest, fastest major professional sports event in Idaho…and if you think that’s a mouthful, well you haven’t seen a jaw-dropping Rodeo like this before!

The mission of the Snake River Stampede is to provide a high-quality professional rodeo in Nampa, Idaho that promotes the western lifestyle, drives community engagement and supports youth activities.

You herd it here, while the bulls are buckin’ we’re focused on collaborating with the community around us in order to build one of the largest premier rodeos in the world. From volunteer and fundraising opportunities, to connecting children to Idaho’s western heritage, we’re a non-profit with a heart for entertainment and education. As a non-profit organization, our annual rodeo has been able to invest millions of dollars into Idaho’s community and economy.

In addition to supporting other local non-profits and youth agricultural clubs, the Snake River Stampede Board founded Stampede for the Cure. As we aim to provide breast cancer screenings and awareness education for all of the Treasure Valley’s cowgirls, we’ve been able to raise and donate over $1,000,000.

Whether your kin hail from Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, or beyond, we’re pleased to tip our hats to you and your support. Now, put on your boots and come join us for the wildest, fastest week in the west. Don’t blink or you might miss it!

This ain’t our first rodeo. You’re guaranteed to have a rootin’ tootin' good time as the world’s best cowboys and equestrian champions compete to lasso a piece of nearly a half-million dollars! We’ve welcomed many rodeo legends in our arena over the years.

Saddle up and hang tight as you watch magnificent horsemen participate in daring competitions including bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping and ladies’ barrel racing. And, if you’ve never seen a child hang on for their life as they attempt to ride a sheep - you’re in for quite a delight during the mutton busting event. Then prepare to be dazzled by the world-famous Snake River Stampeders Night Light Drill Team as they light up the arena like never before.

It's no wonder over 60,000 local and western travelers from all over the world attend this five-day, six-performance event.

Message From Our President

Mutton Busting

Mutton Busting is one of our most popular pre-rodeo events for children 5 to 7 years old and under 55 pounds.

All equipment is provided.

Prizes: Each participate receives a mutton busting buckle and the winner of each night receives a gift certificate for a pair of Justin Boots.

Registration fee:  $25 due if name is drawn (includes one admission entry for the rider).

Calf Scramble

Each Calf Scramble event involves participants who range from 14-16 years of age, competing for the chance to catch one of the calves that are released into the arena. The calves must be caught, haltered and led across the finish line to be declared a winner. The winners each receive a $1,500 certificate towards the purchase of a purebred beef or dairy heifer that is raised with supervision from local 4-H and FFA advisors.

Junior Rodeo

Junior rodeo is a great way to get young people involved in the sport of rodeo. It teaches them responsibility, sportsmanship and competition at an early age. These kids are the future of the sport of rodeo and the Snake River Stampede is proud to give them the opportunity to compete in the same venue as some of their rodeo idols.

Pink on the Dirt Luncheon

Luncheon for Stampede for the Cure. Food. Live Auction. Fun.

Buckaroo Breakfast

The Buckaroo Breakfast takes place Monday and Tuesday morning of Rodeo Week, 7 AM to 10 AM, at the Ford Idaho Center. $5 per ticket. The Nampa Chamber of Commerce started the Snake River Stampede’s Buckaroo breakfast in the 1950s as a community-wide event celebrating the start of the rodeo.
